Times Union to publish my blog next week!

September 6, 2020 By Julie Lomoe 3 Comments

On September 6, I published an essay here entitled “The Authoritarian Madness of Donald Trump.” I’ve since deleted it, because two days ago I heard from Jay Jochnowitz, the Editorial Page Editor at the Albany Times Union, that they’re going to run it sometime next week. I’d nearly given up on their publishing it, which is why I posted it here.  but it would be decidedly uncool to leave it up here before it lands on the printed page. So consider this a teaser. Until then–

On September 9th, news broke about Bob Woodward’s new book, RAGE, which includes excerpts from taped interviews in which Trump incriminated himself as lying about the pandemic. Just more evidence, if any is needed, about how he’s genuinely batshit crazy. I’ll be writing about it soon.

The article that will run in the TU next week includes a discussion of his niece Mary Trump’s book, Too Much and Never Enough, which I highly recommend.
